Sakhi congratulates and celebrates Jeena Gurung on her recent academic success of completing her medical assistant program at the Allen School, Queens. Her children and friends attended her convocation with pride and joy last week. With her hard earned degree, she starts her new career in the medical field this month.

It has truly been an honor for Sakhi to witness her endeavors and her courage to fight for her rights. We wish to continue our support to Jeena and her family and are excited to follow her along her journey.

Earlier this year at Sakhi’s annula gala celebration, Jeena shared: “I feel so light in the heart. Honestly, so light. There is a life for me too, waiting. When you feel that light— and then you think positive, and then you work hard— there’s nothing impossible.”
