Internships

Direct Service

Sakhi offers semester-based and yearly internships in each of its program areas, depending on need and capacity. Interns typically work on a specific project within the program, in addition to assisting with the program area’s scope and ongoing activities. Sakhi can offer school credit if such a possibility exists. We request a minimum of a 3-month commitment for internships.

Please note that internships for the Direct Services Programs requires a commitment of 2-3 days per week. Interns are placed across our Program areas, from Anti-Violence, to Economic Empowerment, to Housing, and more.

As a Sakhi intern, you will:

  • Gain experience working directly with survivors
  • Have access to clinical supervision from our licensed team members

If you are interested in applying for a Summer 2024 (beginning of June-end of August 2024) internship, please email your resume/cover letter to  and list 2-3 programs that you are interested in working with. You can learn more about programs on our website. Please note that the Summer 2024 application closes on March 31, 2024.
