Sakhi is bringing together storytellers, artists and allies for an evening showcasing artwork and narratives from survivors of gender-based violence this Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Our aim is to create a safe space which holds the power to inspire thoughtful dialogue, create change, and duscuss collective healing.
This event is survivor led and survivor centered event. There will also be an accompanying panel discussion and Q&A with a discussion on the healing process and how art has played a role in it, a musical performance, and art featuring work created by survivors available for purchase.
Light hors d’oeuvres, soft drinks, and wine will be included free of charge.
This show will take place Tuesday, October 23rd, at 7:00PM-9:00PM at TAL Studio on the Lower West Side.
