Sakhi for South Asian Women is an NYC-based organization that unites survivors of violence, communities, and institutions to prevent and end domestic violence in the South Asian community. We are excited to announce the launch of our forthcoming blog, which we hope to grow to an engaging online platform for social justice, gender justice, cultural commentary, and feminist thought within the South Asian diaspora. We seek submissions from emerging writers in any of the the following forms:
-
essays
-
opinion pieces
-
news articles
-
interviews
-
film, book, and theater reviews
-
photography
-
art
-

- personal reflection
Sakhi seeks South Asian writers of all genders, backgrounds, and ages. No previous publication experience is necessary. Please send your submissions and pitches to: for consideration.
