Workshops & Trainings

Invite Sakhi for South Asian Survivors to your university, community-based organization, government office, or workplace for one of our hands on workshops or trainings.

All trainings are interactive, discussion-based, approximately sixty to ninety minutes in length and discuss Sakhi’s services, history, culturally and linguistically specific programming, and the work we do in the South Asian immigrant community.

Our workshops are rooted in research as well as our work and advocacy within the South Asian immigrant population in New York City. Taking an intersectional perspective, they define cultural sensitivity and humility, share trends and barriers faced by our constituents, identify strategies for cultural humility and understanding, and discuss best practices for case management and community work.

All trainings are led by members of our Programs staff. Training fees are agreed upon on a case by case basis and can be waived for smaller, community-based organizations. To learn more about Sakhi’s training fees or to schedule a training, email us at .
